Garnacha Company
“Cucklold and happy” / “The bounty beating”
This work is a tribute to the “Comedians of the Language”, the first theatre groups formed in the Iberian Peninsula between the 15th and 16th centuries. Precisely, its name comes from the classification that at that time was given to the groups according to the members that made it up. Thus, Garnacha is a company of 4 men and 1 woman who roam the town fairs presenting their repertoire. The group presents 2 Pasos, the name given to short comic pieces, starring characters from the popular classes- by one of the first Spanish playwrights and actors, Lope de Rueda.
